Telephone: 973-993-9764 For Immediate Release - Green Drop Ink Company of Morristown, New Jersey has developed a unique set of water based inks that address the health and safety concerns of artists and pressroom employees. These 'AquaGraphic' inks are used with for most studio applications including Waterless Lithography, Screen Printing, Relief Printing (wood blocks as well as linoleum cuts), Monotype Printing, Intaglio including Etchings. The inks have also been formulated for four color water-less digital printers and analog printers that require no fountain solution and use PresstekTM, TorayTM, or similar plates. Water-based inks are also available for printing on PVC and Polyolefin plastics. We also have inks for EVA and Rubber surfaces and bush on inks for nylon and vinyl. 'AquaGraphic' Inks need no toxic chemical solvents to wash the blankets, rollers, and plates. Plain tap water clean the inks saving on the cost of wash-up solvent materials. The inks contain neither VOCs nor hydrocarbons. There are no fugitive emissions from the ink and hence the pressroom environment is healthier. 'AquaGraphic' Inks are health friendly to artists and press room employees. There is zero misting. The ink can also be easily washed off from skin using just soap and water. "The 'AquaGraphic' Inks offer drying time which is far better than oil based inks as water evaporates faster than oils which are used in traditional inks," says Naresh V. The implications are obvious in terms of cost savings in post press processing and pressroom employees' health issues." As an added advantage, a strict temperature control is not required during the printing process since the inherent latent heat of water provides cooling. This also saves on the press cooling costs. In terms of the printing quality, 'AquaGraphic' Ink offers better solids since it has lower viscosity than oil based inks.
